Who are we?
We are a husband and wife duo with the dream of creating a publishing company that will boldly, creatively, and enthusiastically represent the work of Authors of Colors (AOC). Stacy Nelson has been a part of the publishing landscape for 10 years, writing as USA Today Bestselling author Stacy Reid, who recently has her bestselling Sinful Wallflower Series (My Darling Duke, Her Wicked Marquess, and A Scoundrel of her own being adapted for television).
Dusean Nelson’s business acumen, creative art direction, and editor extraordinaire is the owner of AuthorsDesigns, working with bestselling authors over the years, such as Grace Callaway, Stacy Reid, Theodora Taylor, Alyssa Clarke, Eva Devon, Tamara Gill, and many others. Together they have created Darkan Press Inc. with the dream of becoming a premier publishing company to support and bring to market many underrepresented BIPOC.
